Stay In The Know | Retrofit Packages Include Grid*
JPI Healthcare has been developing and manufacturing high end X-ray grids for nearly four decades. Grids are used to remove scatter radiation while allowing primary transmission to reach the image receptor (Flat Panel Detector, Computed Radiography plate). Without a grid, scatter is not removed, creating a poor image no matter the quality of the detector. With the advanced development of FPDs, we have the opportunity to significantly improve workflow and image quality by using the correct grid.
Best Practice: A grid should only be removed from an existing system if it's being replaced by a better grid.
JPI is available to support your grid needs. We have posted a number of helpful articles on our website to support and reinforce grid awareness in the industry. In the following weeks, we will be sharing more information regarding grids and best practices with our dealer network.
Not only has JPI extended our end of year pricing on our 17" x 17" tethered and 14" x 17" wireless packages, but we'll also be including a JPI grid with qualifying medical purchases.
Since most image quality issues are related to an old, incorrect, or insufficient grid, JPI wants to make sure that our dealers have the appropriate tools for optimizing image quality. For the first time ever, JPI will be including a replacement JPI digital-ready grid for your wall-stand or table with our 17" x 17" tethered panel sales and two grids (for wall-stand and table) with our 14" x 17" wireless packages for medical applications. All we need from you is a picture of the grids you are pulling out.
